Professor Fuad Aleskerov
Professor Fuad Aleskerov received a degree in mathematics from Moscow State University in 1974, and his Ph.D. in Control in Socio-Economic Systems in 1981. He has held a number of professional positions, including Head of the Department of Mathematics for Economics at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, and Head of the Laboratory of Choice Theory and Decision Analysis at the Russian Academy of Sciences Institute of Control Sciences.
He has published 10 books and more than 200 articles, has five copyright certificates and patents, and has been invited to speak at more than 70 conferences and workshops. He has received many awards, including the Doctor of Science, Honorary Worker of Science and Technology of Russian Federation, and Medal of the Order “For Merit II” by Decree of the President of Russia.
Fuad is a member of many organizations, including the International Economic Association (and on the Executive Council from 2011-2017), the American Mathematical Society, and the New Economic Association of Russia. He is on the Editorial Board for the Mathematical Social Sciences, Automation and Remote Control, Political Studies (TBF), Control Problems, Politeia, Economic Journal HSE, Business-informatics, Journal of New Economic Association. He is the vice-editor-in-chief of Mathematical Game Theory and its Applications, Сontrol in Large-Scale Systems, International Journal of Information Technologies and Decision Making, and the Annals of Data Analysis.
He has been Head of the Board of the Congregation ‘Le Dor va Dor’ of the World Union of Progressive Judaism, Moscow, Russia from 2008 to the present.
