Dr. Elan Ezrachi
Dr. Elan Ezrachi, born and raised in Jerusalem, is an independent consultant to international Jewish organizations. After serving as a helicopter pilot in the Israeli Air Force for six years, Elan went on to pursue a career in Jewish education. Elan served in various executive roles including: the International Department of Melitz – Center for Jewish Zionist Education, the Charles Bronfman Mifgashim Center, MASA – Israel Journey (founding CEO) and the International School for Jerusalem Studies at Yad Ben-Zvi. Elan received his B.A. and M.A. from Hebrew University in Education and Jewish Thought and a doctorate from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. His dissertation topic was “The Dynamics of interaction between American Jews and Israelis”. Elan is a community activist in Jerusalem, chairperson of Ginot Ha’ir Community Council, and the chair of Yeru-Shalem, the Coalition for an Inclusive Jerusalem. He recently published a book called: Awakened Dream – 50 Years of Complex Unification of Jerusalem. Elan is Married to Rabbi Naamah Kelman, a father of three, and grandfather to three boys.
