Rachael Pass is a first-year rabbinical student at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR). She is currently completing her Year In Israel and will be continuing her studies on the New York campus in the Fall. Rachael grew up at a Union for Reform Judaism (URJ) affiliated congregation in Louisville, Kentucky. She both attended and worked at URJ Goldman Union Camp Institute, where she developed her passion for informal Jewish education. She received her B.A. in Psychology and Near Eastern and Judaic Studies at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. After graduating, she served as the Director of Youth Engagement at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, Massachusetts, leading all informal youth education and formal high school education. Rachael is excited to be attending her first World Union for Progressive Judaism (WUPJ) conference!
